Waxing for Youth Competitive Skiers
1st layer Level 2 – MX Solid wax
This solid wax is ideal as a training wax and competition wax for young competitive skiers weighing less than 30 kilos.
MX waxes ensure optimal gliding properties under various snow conditions and temperatures. The MX line is divided into three colors (yellow, red, and blue), each covering different temperature ranges to achieve the best gliding properties.
Trainings:
MX Blue is the most versatile of the three waxes. It's the hardest of the three and therefore offers the best protection for the surface. It glides well even in warm conditions. This wax offers the best combination of protection and glide, making it the best choice as a training wax.
Matches:
For competitions, it's best to choose the appropriate MX color for the right temperature range to achieve optimal gliding properties. MX Yellow is by far the fastest of the three in warm temperatures, but slides less well in colder temperatures. Keep that in mind!
2nd layer Level 4 – MX Liquide wax
These Level 4 MX Liquid waxes are an excellent addition to the Level 2 MX Solid waxes, as they allow for even more precise temperature control. They are ideal for preparing skis for competition use.
Young skiers weighing over 30 kilograms can, of course, also benefit from the excellent properties of Level 2 MX waxes, but for those weighing over 30 kilograms, VOLA recommends using the Level 4 Wax system to achieve ideal gliding properties and, above all, protection.
