What are the disadvantages compared to other electric sharpeners?

How many skis can I sharpen with one tire?
About 3 to 4 pairs of skis or snowboards per strap. After that, the quality noticeably deteriorates.

Do I need to remove the side bolsters beforehand?
It's not necessary, but it is recommended. It prevents dust and extends the life of the sanding belt. A properly removed sidewall/titanium edge also always ensures a more accurate edge angle.

Isn't the machine grinding away too much from the edge?
No, the material loss is minimal (a few hundredths of a millimeter). Ideal for regular maintenance.

Are the included granules sufficient for recreational use?
Yes, with grit 120 and 240 you can perfectly maintain your skis for sporty use without competition goals.
